Day of the Dead Skull Head

Nathan and Meredith visited last November for a raucous good time, including the Day of the Dead parade in East Austin. It was a bone-jangling blast. Big thanks to Nathan for sending these photos.

This year I went digital. I bought a skull pattern on Etsy and constructed it myself over the course of too many hours and X-Acto blades. Using a thicker than recommended stock (for dance durability), I wanted to drop-kick it across the room several times for failure to conform to my vision of ghastly perfection, but in the end, SHADDUPABOUTIT. It turned out pretty well.
