The website suffered some downtime last weekend due to a storm that took out an antennae in good ol’ Fargo. Eh, what can ya do. I apologize for any inconvenience… ’cause I know this is a high traffic site and all, especially with all the new visitors and stuff. The messagebored is also doing weird things but I’m not even gonna no. Ferget about it.
Underworld’s video for their newest single “Two Months Off” features vocalist Karl Hyde madman stomp-dancing around in a puddle in the rain with subtle then insane indications that his relationship with gravity’s losing ground (literally), a fitting tie-in theme for deepsicks’ latest addition, s u s p e n s i o n—a section devoted to my fascination with photographed free fall neither free nor falling (see, the “freedom” of the act is arguable… it seems free, but film catches, imprisons… dark and light are trapped, unchangeable…. hm. Right. I believe it but I don’t 😛 ).
Anyway. Thank you, Mr. Hyde, your, er, interesting style of dance and earth-free kicking bring me many smiles. (Please come to Minneapolis, please please pleeeeeeeeeease!) So yeah, check out the video if you’re into being happy and s u s p e n s i o n if you’re curious ’bout things that make me pause (and no no no, it has nothing to do with hooks and people, ugh ow ick no no).
A stranger on the West Bank with a bag of broken fortune cookies stopped me on the street and offered me his treasure. My arm past my elbow in his garbage sack of prophesies plucked out this: “Someone thinks you are very special and lets you know it.” Oh yes. Yes, I like this….
