As an undergraduate at the University of Minnesota, I worked for MINITEX, the document delivery service in the libraries. Slaving hours over a photocopier, armed with tomes from deepest stacks, I developed an appreciation not just for photocopy art, but curious juxtapositions: plain wrongness self-assured blurring the lines of promise, propaganda and undeniably poor taste, not just from zee years gone by, but from current newspapers and ephemera at hand. Huzzah!
(Apologies for the low quality: the images are ancient scans of original finds, including microfilm.)
